Silver medal in the Norwegian GT4 championship!
At Rudskogen Motorsenter this weekend, Molly and her team secured 2nd place in the GT4 championship that has run over 5 weekends and 10 races.
There was only 1 point separating me and Lars Faale(Porsche 944) going in to the last race weekend.
It was a hard fight all the way to the final race. This weekend we have fought so hard. The GT4 class was the only class that didn't already have a championship winner. There was only 1 point separating me and Lars Faale(Porsche 944) going in to the last race weekend. We were all really hoping it would go our way.
In saturday's qualifying we were 8 cars all within a second. Unfortunatley I had some issues with grip and started from 9th position. My competitor Lars Faale had an amazing start and went from 7th to 2nd position before the first corner. I was held back by a crash in the first corner, and had to watch him leave us behind.

During the race I was also hit by another driver, but managed to stay on the track and finished P5. Faale won the race.
Today we had a long race of 30 laps, with lot's of points to collect.
I was trusting my sturdy Toyota to get me through this with a good result.
I was trusting my sturdy Toyota to get me through this with a good result. I started from 6th position, and Faale from 2nd. He got quite a large gap in the beginning, but at the end of the race I started to close the gap. I ended 0,4 seconds behind him over the finish, and we could celebrate with silver in the championship and a new PB at Rudskogen.
The 0,4 second behind finish.
Happy team. Thomas, me, Ole Johnny and Fredrik.
My dad hid from us all weekend, and suprised me when I came in from the final race. Amazing moment!
On the podium with Lars Faale.
Molly sums up the season:
In our first season with a new car, and my 3rd season racing I couldn't be happier with this result. I hope this will inspire more girls to follow! Anything is possible.
